Andy Cannon - Founding and Senior Pastor, AM Services

Andy served on staff with Bear Valley Baptist Church of Lakewood while reaching out to the poor and oppressed in Denver until the church commissioned him to plant Open Door Fellowship in 1984.  Andy has been preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ since he was 18 years old and still believes that the Christian church is critical for people to be brought “all the way through” in their relationship with God.  Andy’s passion for the people, attention to the Bible, and deep desire to seek God’s power liberating people’s lives compel him still after more than 30 years of Christian service.  Andy serves as the primary preaching pastor in both the Sunday morning services.  Andy is also a co-founder and housing director for the Providence Network and serves on several urban ministry boards and
advisory councils.

Linda Collins - Womens Ministry Pastor

With a deep passion for women and a desire to disciple and encourage people in their walk with Christ, Linda emphasizes relationships in her ministry.  Linda’s faith background gave her experience in several Christian denominations and after retiring from the financial sector, Linda joined Open Door Ministries as a full-time missionary to the city.  Linda also currently works  for the Providence Network as the Victory House director, where she builds organic Christian community.

Curtis Holmes - Senior Pastor, PM Services

Curtis worked as a missionary in Haiti for 13 years before returning to the United States and began serving in Denver area churches.  He currently serves as a prison chaplain in Northeast Denver and preaches in our evening service every other week.  Curtis’ love for people and compassionate heart are evident to all who meet him.  Curtis believes the prayer ministry of the church has been a dynamic part of seeing God’s grace being expressed in people’s live through answered prayers.  Curtis’ lifetime service to the Lord brings a deep wisdom resource to our church.  Pastor Curtis is often called Brother Curtis reflecting his long history with and support from Plymouth Bretheren churches both here in Colorado and his family home in Detroit, Michigan.

Chris Hooper - Executive Pastor  -  Chris' Newsletter

After a few years in the computer field Chris returned to his heart’s desire, working in church ministry.  As a young person Chris interned at churches during summer breaks and served in a lay-capacity at a church plant while in the workforce.  Chris is deeply committed to discipleship and enjoys preaching and participating in creating worship experiences for people.

Todd Taylor - Congregational Life Pastor - Todd's Newsletter

After a fulfilling career in the business world, God called Todd to change vocations and serve in full-time Christian service.  Todd joined Open Door Fellowship in 2006 and has been creating community and discipleship opportunities ever since.  Todd is excited about bringing people together for prayer, bible study, and fellowship.  He loves challenging people to know God more truly and honestly.  Todd is a sought after confidant and friend and serves at both morning and evening Sunday services.

Jessica Wilson - Outreach Pastor

Joining Open Door after years of working with ministries in Chicago and Colorado Springs, Jessica brings a passion for reaching out to the entire city, especially it's vulnerable and under-served.  Completing her degree at Denver Seminary in 2011, she has over 4 years of experience with Open Door Ministries and Fellowship in many part-time capacities.   Jessica oversees our outreach events and programs as well as our efforts to get our congregation members connected to our church vision and mission.

Pastoral Intern - Dan Burnham

After completing his BA in theology in 2002, Dan did what any other graduate would do... he joined the Air Force.  After serving for six years he decided to return to Colorado and pursue his desire for Christian service.  Dan and his wife were were introduced to Open Door after two years at Denver Seminary where Dan is looking to graduate in Summer 2012 with his M.Div.  Dan's passion is for biblical education and discipleship where people encounter Christ and his power to change lives.  When not reading a book on theology, Dan can often be found in the kitchen experimenting with hand crafted breads.

More Information About Our Pastoral Internship Program:
Our pastoral internship focuses on leveraging the strengths of the individual while providing significant ministry experience in all areas of pastoral ministry.  The program is typically one year long and interns raise their own support through partners as most of our pastors do.  If you are interested in a future internship opportunity you can find the application here: Open Door Internships

Open Door Fellowship commissioned  several members to join JCOC during their
process of incorporation.  Our deep friendship and collaboration in ministry goes back
over half a decade.  Restoration Worship Center (RWC) and Restoration Outreach
Programs (ROP)
also have a strong historic connection with Open Door and have staff
members that have worked for our organizations in the past.
